 * I have tried installing wordpress onto my Debian 8 jessie vps. I successfully
   did it but wordpress connects to the ftp port 21 (by default) and my vps ftp
   is running on the port 22. Is there a way to change that in the wordpress website
   area because that would make it a lot easier for me and I don’t know how to change
   ftp port for my vps.

 * Did you try appending the port number in the connection information dialog?
 * Example: `yourhostname.com:22`

 * Hi,
 * Take a look at the FS_METHOD on this page.
    [https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php](https://codex.wordpress.org/Editing_wp-config.php)
   And check with your web hosting company which method is supported.
 * Thank you
