  • Our IT Team is in the process of moving a working WordPress site from one AWS VPC to another one. We created an AMI of the working site, built a new server in the new VPC with the AMI and powered the second server up. Since we weren’t ready to make the switch from server #1 to server #2 we left the old server up and running. No changes were made to DNS and server #2 was only accessible via its elastic IP address. We started receiving reports that our website was encountering problems 24 hours after we made the change. The error we received was
    Fatal error: Cannot declare class WP_HTTP_Fsockopn, because the name is already in use in c:\inetpub\wwwroot\…..\class-wp-http-streams.php on line 432. Can anyone figure tell me why this is happening to us? We shut down server #2 and the error went away. Line 432 is

    class WP_HTTP_Fsockopen extends WP_HTTP_Streams {
    	// For backward compatibility for users who are using the class directly.
    }
