Somehow 4 my wp sites got white screen when opened and it happened like in the same times. I don't know why, I didn't change anything.

But when I do fresh wp install on a new domain, it's working fine. These 4 are older domain names and had already running wordpress and they were all fine previously.

I tried to do upgrade to 3.1 but I got this error message

The database affikom3_wrdp9 is not working properly and the creation of a database backup file has failed. Please contact the sysadmin for further assistance. Include this message for reference.

The initial installation has not been modified.

I did manual FTP install with 3.1 WP version and when I tried to do mydomain/wp-admin/install.php I got white screen.

I don't know what to do. My hosting techie didn't help either.

    - switching to the Twenty Ten theme by renaming your current theme's folder in wp-content/themes using FTP or whatever file management application your host provides. You may need to try logging into your site to get this to kick in fully.

    - resetting the plugins folder by FTP or phpMyAdmin.

    - re-uploading all files & folders - except the wp-content folder - from a fresh download of WordPress.

    - re-running the upgrade manually using wp-admin/upgrade.php.

I did a fresh new WP install on different sub folder, of course it's working fine and I edited the wp-config to use the old database and the same thing happen, white screen again. So it must have been the old database but how to fix it?
