Support » Fixing WordPress » frontpage went blank, however all inner page are still visiable

  • Hi,

I’m getting a strange issue where the front page will become blank regardless in which static page has been set to it.

I’ve walked through the common wordpress errors and tried to identify the problem, but nothing has been found.

I’ve even tried to install the website onto two different hosting (aws ec2 and sharehosting with cpanel), still getting the same outcome. Strangely, none of my routine backup files works.

and here is the website url:

    Many thanks

  • Hi,

    Try following suggestions:

    1) Go to dashboard and change your theme and try loading your site again. If it shows up this time,go to the folder of the theme you were using and check all the files. Check if their names are correct and if their extensions are correct.

    2) Try removing your caching plug-in if you have one.

    3) Try Deactivate All Plugins Through cPanel

Login at cPanel, Under Files section, Go to File Manager.
Select Web Root (public_html/www) and click Go.

Expand the public_html folder, and navigate to the /wp-content/plugins folder.

Right click on the /wp-content/plugins folder and rename it like plugins.old. This will deactivate all of the plugins at once.

Now, reactivate plugins folder again by renaming back to plugins. This will allow you to access the WordPress Dashboard again.

If white screen disappears from your website, activate plugins one by one until the white screen comes back. When it does, you’ll know the culprit plugin.

    Hope that helps.
