[Resolved] Frontend upload showing uploaded image after upload

  • Hi all,

Does anyone have an idea how to make an uploaded image appear in the front end after upload was successful.

    Let me elaborate.
On the front end page the user can upload an image.
After successfully uploading the image. He gets a thumbnail of the image he just uploaded displayed on the page.

Any pointers would be more then helpfull.
    Best regards,

  • Go into settings and make sure you have ” Exclude images from appearing in galleries until they have been approved.” turned off (unchecked).

I am not completely sure I’m sold on the idea of displaying the image post-upload because it risks conflicting with the design of one’s website, however I am trying to work out how to display a preview of the image during the upload process once one is selected. Not quite the same, but definitely similar.

That would be an excellent solution. Displaying a preview when the image is selected would work for me too. I think it would be a good reminder to the uploader what image they selected before actually uploading them frontend.

  • I went with a solution that uses an image uploader plugin.
    And does exactly that.

However I would greatly appreciate to have this built into nextGen and make use of the other functionality NextGEN offers.

    Thx.
