• Hi. Your plugin should be exactly what I need, but the images to crop (with fixed ratio 4:3) will be added by my users directly through a frontend form containing ACF custom fields, so how to achieve this? I only see one setting but nothing for that. Thank you

Hey, front-end image cropping is not supported right now. There is an entry in the FAQ for this.

This feature might be added in the future but it’s not high on my priority list.

    Thanks!

Should be so nice it could work on frontend forms, I do need it and don’t know how to solve. I didn’t find any other plugin that can do this. I saw this issue in the FAQ but maybe it was months old and now the plugin has it done.
Hope it is not too difficult to get it working also in forms, so you could do it easily and sooner… ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thank you so much

Just throwing this out there. Since I first released this plugin, the front-end image crop has been a top request for this plugin. However, for me, itโ€™s at the bottom of my todo-list.

This is simply because I donโ€™t use this feature. I use ACF and this plugin on pretty much all sites I work on, but I have never once used an ACF frontend form.

For me it doesnโ€™t make much sense to dedicate my free time on working on and maintaining a feature I donโ€™t use myself.

So I was thinking about creating a pro version of this plugin for the sole purpose of implementing this feature. So Iโ€™m asking if there are people who would be willing to shell out 10 dollars a year for having this feature. If there are enough people interested, I could dedicate some time to create this highly requested feature.

And since it would be a pro feature it would mean I would be able to dedicate time to implement and maintain it even though I donโ€™t personally use the feature in my projects.

    What do you think?

I need that feature so i’ll be happy to pay for that.

10 dollars seem a fair price for that so go for it i’ll be the first customer ๐Ÿ™‚

Hey, glad to know that there would be people interested in a premium version! I think Iโ€™ll have a time next week to start working in the feature. Thereโ€™s also a few legal hurdles I need to take care of first before the pro version can be released.

More and more interested in your advanced plugin, already spread the news on Facebook, one person has already installed the free version. Can’t wait… ๐Ÿ˜‰

    Hi joppuyo.
No news about the add-on for using your plugin in a frontend ACF form?
Need it so much and surely it is essential for all those sites that allow users to add contents with pictures and I will be happy to spread the word when available.
    Thank you

Hey, I’m sorry for the lack of progress on this feature but I call tell you that it’s the number one thing on my priority list, right after bug fixes.

I am currently working on implementing the front-end image crop and making some good progress but I can’t give any promises about a release date since this is a big feature that requires a lot of changes to how the plugin works.

The good thing is that I have decided that this will be a free feature for everyone since it would be a lot of work to maintain two separate versions of the plugin.

    Hi joppuyo.
Happy to hear you will go on with the front-end image crop feature and that it will be free but I am still available for a premium version to be sure it will be always updated and safe. I see more and more people are starting using frontend forms for adding contents because they are appreciating this method to let their clients manage their sites on their own, so I think many people will use your plugin for avoiding big images upload on their sites. Hope to be able to use your plugin as soon as possible, I can’t start without… ๐Ÿ˜‰ Thanx

It’s a good news that’s still high in your list !
And a better news that will be free !

    Hey everyone,

I have released a new beta version of the plugin with front-end crop functionality. Please download it here and test if it works for you.

I need to write some additional tests to make sure that everything works like it should before the changes can be merged in the stable version of the plugin.

Actually, I have a GitHub sponsors link which can be found in the plugin page if anyone wants to support the development of the plugin.

Hey joppuyo, thanx for the new beta version of the plugin with front-end crop functionality!
Tried it. May I have your private mail so that I can explain better how it goes and send you some links of my site where I tried it?
    Thank you
