    Hi there,

    I have set a front page slider in the customise section of Customizr (http://7be.9fa.myftpupload.com).

    I’d like the text of the homepage to show above it (so the sections read “home page text”, “slider” then “featured pages”

    Is there any way I can do this?

    Thanks

  • You can add the following code to your child-theme functions.php:

    add_action('wp_head', 'home_elements_order', 100);
    function home_elements_order(){
     //we unhook the slider and fp
     remove_action( '__after_header' , array( TC_slider::$instance , 'tc_slider_display' ) );
     remove_action( '__before_main_container' , array( TC_featured_pages::$instance , 'tc_fp_block_display'), 10 );

     add_action( '__after_main_container' , array( TC_slider::$instance , 'tc_slider_display' ), 0);
     add_action( '__after_main_container' , array( TC_featured_pages::$instance , 'tc_fp_block_display'), 10 );
    }

    Which is a “merge” of these two snippets:
    http://presscustomizr.com/snippet/moving-slider-anywhere/
    http://presscustomizr.com/snippet/move-featured-pages-block-anywhere-front-page/

    Hope this helps.

    Thanks so much for your reply d4z.

    I’m sorry if this is a really dumb question but what is a child theme?

    I’m very new to WordPress and Customizr and have no idea what this is.

    Could I not just put the code you entered into a custom css widget?

    Thanks

    Jo

    Hi Jo,
    not really, it’s php code couldn’t do that in a custom css box or in a text widget.

    About the child-themes it’s a theme, which allows you to make “changes” to a “main” theme without actually modify the “main” theme’s files.
