is there a way with the Catch Responsive theme to just use photos from the media library for the front page slider? hopefully so, and then, how would that be done?
    Thanks in advance,
    Paul

I would also like to ask, if it is required that one uses ‘featured pages’ is it possible with this theme to turn off the text (name of the page) on the slider?
    Many thanks, Paul

I’m having the same problem as the above, in addition to a few others, below. I’ve already checked out the instructions here, didn’t work for the below: http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-responsive/

    Questions:
    – Can’t find where to change the image on the homepage slider to a custom image (just for the homepage)
    – Can’t find where to edit the overlay text over the image
    – Can’t make the homepage image static (no slider)
    – Can’t update the three sectional blurbs underneath either

Does anyone know how to resolve the above? Thanks in advance!

@kdavislapuravida: You can check here http://catchthemes.com/theme-instructions/catch-responsive/#featured-slider . Catch Responsive Free theme only support “Featured Page Slider”. So, for this you need to create page and assign featured image in those pages. Then you can go to “Appearance => Customize => Featured Slider Options => Featured Slider Type” and select “Featured Page Slider” and then select pages which you want to show as slider.

This slier will take the page featured image and excerpt text.
