# Front page help please!

 * Im a noob of course. My question is this. When i install a theme with a slider
   on the front page only, i cant access and add or remove content from that page.
   So i have to add a page and name it “home”. Now i have 2 home buttons. One work
   links to the main domain and the other links to xxx/home. I add a plugin to hide
   one of the home buttons. Everything now seems good except my original front page
   with the slider is now gone and i have no slider for the front page. Im sorry
   to bother you guys but after trying for many hours i cant fix this. Please help
   me if you understand what im asking for please help im stuck and cant move forward.

 * what exactly are you trying to add or remove?
 * for someone to have a look, you could paste the code of that tempalte into a

   I have the same theme up on another site that i have not done anything to.Its
   at [http://massage-tampa.com](http://massage-tampa.com). It still has the original
   front page with the slider. Im trying to just add the slider back to the front
   page or technically the “home” page. Im not sure what code you need to look at.
   The “style CSS”?

 * i would suggest that you copy the template (index.php ?) from the site, where
   you haven’t made any changes, and use it to replace the same template in the 
   site where you want to add the slider back.
 * as this is a commercial theme, try to ask for support from the theme seller as
   well.

 * Ok but what is proper procedure when first starting a theme? What do i do when
   i first install a theme? Because i cant add content to any front page on a new
   theme because it wont show up under my pages section to access and edit it. I
   have to add a new page and rename it “home” just to get started. I must be missing
   something here that nobody seems to answer for me.

 * Ok mods you can close it. My template was set to default instead of home page.
   lol..maybe this will help someone else.
