Front Page Featured Image for Social Media

Greetings:

I see in the archive that it’s not possible (without bespoke coding) to select a featured image for the front page in Zerif Lite. But shouldn’t my site icon push an image on social media?

I’ve tried this through the internal favicon customisation and through a favicon generator plugin, but nothing’s working. When I share the front page of the site on social media, I get a blank space next to my title and description, which looks unprofessional.

Is there a straightforward solution to this problem?
