Support » Plugin: Heartbeat Control » Front End Still making requests to admin-ajax.php

  • Hi thanks for your very useful plugin,
I’ve installed it on this site and set to completely disable heartbeat.

I’ve also tried doing a similar thing adding an action directly in functions.php

However I’m still getting repeating requests to admin-ajax.php, from the front end, also for non logged in users, looks from the network console like they are coming from my parent theme at themes/kichu/assets/classie.js – but I’m no expert at understanding this kind of thing.

These are causing severe load on CPU resources.

I’ve inherited this theme from a previous designer and I’m really not sure how else to fix it. I’ve also made a support request at but https://wordpress.org/support/topic/calls-to-from-classie-js-custom-js-to-admin-ajax-php-maxing-out-cpu-resources/

Is anyone able to point me in the right direction from here, or to the best place to ask?

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]
