 * Is there anyway to get front-end functionality – allowing the users to sign for
   the service and specify which cutom-post type categories they would like to be
   notified about. I think this may be a good option.

 * Thanks for the response…take a look at a classipress plugin.
    It is Classialerts
   Plugin. The link is – [http://themebound.com/shop/classialerts-plugin-classipress/](http://themebound.com/shop/classialerts-plugin-classipress/).
   You can pick the categories or post types and sign up for a subscription and 
   get emailed every period weekly, daily any new posts in that category. You can
   see a sample of the emails as well as the front end. This is just any idea – 
   concept to work from.

 * Hi there, Would also like this as an option.
 * Looking forward to the updates.
 * I am looking for the user to be able to signup for daily ‘job’ alerts.
    User 
   selects from a custom post type taxonomy an gets alerts daily. Would also love
   to have an un-subscribe link sent via the daily email if user requested to turn
   them off easily.
