Support » Fixing WordPress » Front end designer for user – is this possible?

  • I’d like to create a page where a customer can create their own design based on my design templates. It would need a customizable grid (2×3 or 5×5, etc) and then a row of design blocks. The customer would drag and drop the small square designs into the larger grid to create their own custom layout. Is this even possible without extensive programming? I’ve searched but I’m probably not using the right search terms. Any ideas?

No. It would require a lot of Javascript, probably some jQuery, some Ajax, and who knows what else. Presumably you want them to be able to save this or send it to you?

I can almost guarantee that you won’t find a solution in this forum. You can try posting it at jobs.wordpress.net and see if anyone takes a bite. Should give you an idea of how much is involved.
