• When I imported my wordpress.com site to my wordpress.org site and hosted it on bluehost.com, I created a new “admin” identity to edit the blog. However, on my older posts I posed as “buzzthebar” and have my profile set up with my picture and everything. I tried logging into my old wordpress.com username but it didn’t work. How do I edit my new wordpress.org profile as well? I don’t see an option to edit the picture. So very confusing.

  • I think you need to use the email address you used for ‘buzzthebar’ when creating your admin profile on your site

Correct the site probably uses Globally Recognized Avatars or as they call them… https://en.gravatar.com/ Gravatars or something like it associated by your email address. Ensure you use the same email. Let us know if it worked and if not can you provide a link we can see 🙂

The export from wordpress.com does not include the username. It only includes posts, pages, comments, drafts, private posts, and categories. You would need to re-create the username then add the avatar image.
