From qTranslate X to Polylang | WordPress.org

Hi!

I have a multilingual blog and I am currently using qTranslate X to make my blog multilingual. The plugin is very old and not working properly anymore and that’s why I want to switch to Polylang. I have googled a lot but I don’t really understand how to migrate to Polylang. I have over 790 posts on my blog and copying and pasting it all by hand, would be a pain in the ass. Is there any way to migrate to Polylang without copying and pasting every single post?

Polylang is an excellent plugin. But I’m not aware of a migration tool from qTranslate X to Polylang.

On a recent project, I had to migrate away from qTranslate (without the X, so very old and obsolete) to another multilingual solution and I found out that WPML has a tool to do the migration, see https://wordpress.org/plugins/qtranslate-to-wpml-export/. The Pages and Posts did migrate but I had to manually update the metadata.

After that, if you want to, you can migrate from WPML to Polylang: https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpml-to-polylang/.
