Support » Plugin: SB Welcome Email Editor » From email address won't change when sending html email

  • Resolved

Has anyone else seen this issue. When sending emails the FROM EMAIL ADDRESS, regardless of how it’s setup (global settings active or just the admin with global settings deactivated) the email address appears to be a generic hosting email address and not the email address we would like displayed. This only happens with html emails, plain text emails will adjust. WordPress v3.5 SB Welcome Email v3.4 If we missed something in the directions, anything help would be appreciated. Peace.

This was a conflict with the S2Member plugin you were using. I have now rectified this with you directly. Thanks for helping me to debug this one though.. It would have been nasty 🙂

I don’t see this problem resolved in version 3.5, maybe there is a conflict with other plugins than S2Member, which I don’t use.

I’m especially using the following plugins with mail functions in my installation:
    SB Welcome Email Editor v3.5
    ALO EasyMail Newsletter v2.4.14
    Contact Form 7 v.3.3.3

As long as I have SB Welcome Email Editor activated, the latter two will have a generic hosting email adress as “from” instead of the specific ones defined in the plugins.

Therefore I had to deactivate SB Welcome Email Editor for the time being.

I’m having the same conflict with Contact Form 7 3.3.3. I had to uninstall SB Welcome for Contact 7 to work.

SM welcome was over-riding my “From” mail header in Contact 7. Any ideas for a fix, I really like SB plug-in and would love to use it.

I confirm that this bug is still present. The plugin SB Welcome Email Editor doesn’t care about its “Set Global Email Headers” setting and always override the header. Contact Form 7 is therefore not working correctly.

Please provide a fix ASAP. 😉

I have just checked in the latest version where I have addressed the global headers issue. I need people to test this to ensure that it has been fixed. It seems to work ok for me but please let me know otherwise.

Just tested this with version 3.7 – still doesn’t work.
Even with ‘Set Global Email Headers’ set to ‘No’ it also changes the From-Adresses for Contact Form 7 and ALO EasyMail Newsletter.

    Sorry, Markus
