As far as I know… the only upgrade path from 1.2 is to first go 1.2 -> 1.5.2 -> 2.0.1… the trick is finding someone with the 1.5.2 install files.

Then, when upgrading from 1.2 to 1.5, follow the same instruction as the 1.5 to 2.01 upgrade?

The answer is determined by one thing:
Do you want to keep your current theme ?
If you DO, follow the 1.2 guide carefully.
If you do NOT, do the 1.5 one.
Theme needs work anyway, I’m not married to it, so I will follow the 1.5-2.01 upgrade path on first the 1.2-1.5 upgrade, then once that is done, 1.5-2.01

I did the upgrade, but now am getting a database error
Database error: [Unknown column ‘user_level’ in ‘where clause’]
SELECT * FROM wp_users WHERE user_level > 0
Any thoughts on how to repair
