    Here's a temporary solution I just figured out:

    Create a functions-custom.php in your Frisco folder and add the following code:

     * Remove bp-user class from body_class()
     * @param  array $wp_classes
     * @return array
    function frisco_remove_body_classes( $wp_classes ) {
    	if( in_array("bp-user", $wp_classes) ) {
    	    // The classes you wish to remove
    	    $blacklist = array( 'single' );
    	    // Remove classes from array
    	    $wp_classes = array_diff( $wp_classes, $blacklist );
    	    // Return modified body class array
    	    return $wp_classes;
    	else {
    		return $wp_classes;
    add_filter( 'body_class', 'frisco_remove_body_classes', 10, 2 );
