Fresh install breaks site on activation

    Downloaded NextGen Gallery – had issues installing via WP installer, tried manual upload – still issues. Extracted direct to plugins folder showed up ok in plugins admin. Activated plugin and it broke the site completely. Either get a 500 or a blank page (tried on a few occasions).

    Try disabling all other plugins and enable them one at a time.
    Often there are conflicts between plugins and you need to narrow down which ones don’t like each other.

    Then you can look for alternatives or fixes.
