# Frequent language updates

 * I recently encountered a very confusing problem, wp-content/languages directory
   of the language packages updated very often, from April 7 to today has been updated
   6 times, this has not happened before, this situation is normal?

 * Yes, that’s normal. The texts of every plugin, every theme and WordPress itself
   are updated irregularly by translators. This may be because a translation into
   a language that you use is missing or has been adapted. The updates are independent
   of WordPress, theme or plugin updates. They are also installed very quickly as
   they are usually only small files.

 * I am still a bit confused, when I compare the code of the files before and after
   the update, they only have a difference in the translation-revision-date field,
   but everything else is the same.

 * its normal and will happen even hourly, if you have several languages in use,
   many plugins and some of the used languages are very active, i.e. spanish.
 * but it could be even a signle plugin, if its translation editor is working on
   it actively
