French translation not displayed

    Hello,
    Files are OK :
    the-events-calendar-fr_FR.po and the-events-calendar-fr_FR.mo are in
    /public_html/wp-content/languages/plugins
    and the-events-calendar-fr_FR.mo is in
    /public_html/wp-content/plugins/the-events-calendar/lang
    Versions are up-to-date

    WordPress setting in FRENCH

    The Event Calendar free Plugin version 5.1.6
    WordPress: 5.5.1
    Elementor free : 3.0.7

    I use The Event Calendar widget to insert the shortcode in the page.

    Any idea of the cause of the problem ? Elementor ?

    Hi @vivezlalegende

    I’m sorry to hear that you are experiencing this issue!

    Which widget are you using? Does this work on a regular WordPress page/post without Elementor? Does it work on the main calendar page?

    As a first step, can you try a quick test and see if the functionality works as expected with a bare WordPress install? A bare install is basically a default WordPress theme like Twenty Twenty and no other plugins besides ours installed. You may want to consider trying this out on a staging site so that you don’t have to switch things around on your live site.
