French characters creating the problem for ogone payment gateway

Hi,

In the checkout form the users will enter their names in french. So they will enter characters like è,é,à. But the thing is ogone is considering those characters as something else and it gives the error. The same process if running through easyreservation plugin. But in that form its accepting the special characters. So please let me what should be done so that i can implement the same for the wp ecommerce plugin.
