Support » Plugin: Smush Image Compression and Optimization » Free vs Paid model

  • Thanks to WPMU Dev for ensuring this plugin has been kept alive, it works great and does what it says on the tin!

There are some restrictions with the free version You can not smush files over 1MB and you are restricted to 50 images per request which isn’t too much of a bother.

However I personally would like to upgrade to the Pro version to unlock the additional features, but to do this I would need WPMU Dev’s $99/month subscription… which is a rather extortionate price to a blogger, especially as that’s the only plugin I want.

Would be much nicer if they did this as a separate product or returned to their “You either pay the subscription to unlock everything or buy each plugin for $19 outright”. If that was the case I would upgrade today.

How does that sound? Hope to hear from you there! 🙂

    We hear ya! 🙂

You can now signup for WP Smush Pro as a single plugin, so you no longer require a full membership for the Pro version.

    Have a fantastic day.
