• Is the free version of the Nutmeg theme not translation ready?

I am using Nutmeg and WP Recipe Maker, Loco Translate for translations.
The parts from WP Recipe Maker show the translation to Icelandic, but from the Nutmeg theme (Previous Post, Next Post, Tagged with) are still in English, when there is an Icelandic translation available, just not showing on the website.

When I look at the website logged in and in the Customizer, the Icelandic translation is visible.

The page I need help with: [log in to see the link]

    Hello,

The theme is internationalized, including the strings that you have mentioned.
Please make sure that you have correctly translated all theme strings and that cache has been cleared.

    Best regards,

    Hi

Yes, all strings are available in Icelandic.
Cleared the cache daily and have been monitoring, still the translation is only showing up in the Customizer.

The difference is in Tags and Previous/Next Post

See screenshots: no translation on website

    Hi,

What happens if you disable caching completely (just for testing purposes)?
Those specific strings go through some basic output buffering, so maybe the plugin is unable to correctly handle that…
Please try disabling the plugin and see if that fixes the issue. If it does, then I can use that information to find a permanent fix.

    Best regards,
    Dumitru B.

    Hi
    Disabled the cache plugin.
    Updated Loco translate plugin.
Still no Icelandic in the theme.

    Hi,
I’m not sure what else I can say.
The strings are properly internationalized using core WP functions.
If they are displayed on one screen but not on the other, then there’s nothing more that the theme can do.
A developer suggested this possible explanation, but I don’t know if it applies to this case:
Admin/Customizer is probably respecting the user locale, but the sites locale setting under Settings -> General is not set to the same - thus the front end is rendered without translations.

Either way, there’s nothing in the code that I can change about this.

    Best regards,
    Dumitru B.
