Free versions lacks basic instructions for brand new users. (Some step-by-step directions would be easy to add.) In my experience the faster a new user sees success, the happier they’ll be. “Figuring it out” is not always the fun part for me, when I’ve got a lot of critical tasks on my plate. That’s why they invented “instructions.” FAQ’s is a tool, not MY finished product. The authors directed me to silent YouTube video on the advanced version. It demonstrates a lot, but plays quickly and is bit hard to follow if you’re trying to jot down the simplest notes. I think FAQ has the nucleus of 5-star program, but like to so many other developers the brand new user has to “fend for themselves” on the most basic stuff that is so “obvious” to the experienced user. I’m sure that once you “get it,” its probably very easy. The paid version included some very nice templates. I’ll get it figured out.
