• Free version is just a ruse to get people to buy the premium one, you can’t even add a field to all products or to a specific category, so useless for most stores.

    Hi @webrightnow,

    thanks for your harsh opinion!

In free version of Flexible Product Fields you can add fields to all products or to specific categories, but you have to do it manually each by each. Like this:
    Screenshot

Also, please notice that you can add up to five types of fields to your products:

    Single Line Text (input)
    Paragraph Text (textarea)
    Checkbox
    Radio Button
    Dropdown (select)

I hope you see that despite the limitations, we’ve provided a functional, well working, free plugin.

Please let me know if any doubt.

    Cheers,
    Przemyslaw

As I said, useless for MOST stores, i.e. ones with more than just a few products, where adding them one by one simply isn’t feasible. There are already other free plugins like WC Fields Factory which let you configure by category, so why would anyone go to so much trouble with this plugin? My suggestion, if you are hoping your product is going to take off at all, is to make more options available in the free version and then make the premium one even better. Just my opinion of course, but as a web designer I go through a lot of plugins so I’m talking from my own experience.

    @webrightnow, thanks for answer!

We wanted to provide a well-functioning, optimized and easy-to-use plugin and I think we have succeeded despite the limits. I’m sorry that it did not meet your expectations.

I would like you to know that we’ll take your advice while working on the development of the plugin and I’m glad you found what you needed!

    Cheers,
    Przemyslaw
