Everyone loved the free version. We added a few dozen glossary terms on our staging site. Tool tips looked awesome.

Installed paid version on our production site. Support helped us license since we couldnt do it ourselves.

Later realized we could not export glossary from staging because free version did not have export command.

Deactivated on production so we could activate and upgrade staging. Needed help again to license. Required CreativeMinds to login to our site.

After upgrade and licensing, glossary was gone. They told us an upgrade would not matter and glossary should be there. Glossary now had zero items. Support would not answer.

Restored staging from backup to get glossary and manually copy to production, one by one. Again, we could not license again on production. Support not responsive this time.

Also noticed when plugin was made inactive from plugins page, CM Glossary menu still present. Very strange.

Marketing reported messed up footer on bottom of screen when plugin was activated. Had to deactivate. Did more testing on website footer and activated plugin a few more times. After fourth time, CM Tooltip Pro plugin brought down our entire site. Had to login to backend and delete the plugin subfolder to get site working again.

I dont want to ask for a refund because I dread working with their support team again.

The product funtionality is awesome. Licensing and installation is a crap shoot.

We’re sorry that you’re frustrated/angry but let’s try to resolve the situation rationally:

First of all, it’s a free version forum and review, so giving 1* to a product you’ve described as:

Everyone loved the free version. We added a few dozen glossary terms on our staging site. Tool tips looked awesome.

    is unfair.

Secondly, it’s a pity you didn’t ask us to do the export/import. We’d be happy to do that. The only support e-mails we got were about the issues with licensing/activation and deactivation. We didn’t hear anything about the issues with the footer or with the page going down.

Also it’s impossible for a plugin to delete the glossary items on it’s own when upgrading. We’ve done that hundreds of times and it never happened (and we’ve never heard about that from our customers). Probably someone has clicked the button to remove the data.

Also noticed when plugin was made inactive from plugins page, CM Glossary menu still present. Very strange.

This has also never happened before and it’s rather impossible, because successfully deactivated plugin doesn’t load it’s files so has no way to add it’s links/hooks to the menu.

Anyway – if you decide that you’d like us to solve the problems we’ll be waiting for your e-mail.

It’s really bad support what you guys offer for PRO users. I will never recommend. Had purchased 3-4 Pro versions all now dumped in trash. Good for nothing.
