[NSFW] Free trial not working in subscription via SVEA
-
Hello Team,
I am selling online course using WooCommerce subscription products but when I am providing a 30 days free trial into that product it is not allowing to do the checkout. Can you tell me if there is any setting that is missing to make it working.

Hi,
Since version 2.7.0 there should be no limit to recurring payments starting from 0.
What version of the plugin are you currently using?Best regards
My current version is 2.8.9.
You can check the below URL for the product.
https://www.read2burn.com/?id=gxXNAtcsxFbP5AezftcbzW24q03qVUOLL80hnyP31G3FwJdaKmmaOe8Q6ImQAvlChf6XFi9fOR tell me what information you need so I can provide those as soon as possible.
Hi,
Okay, then the version should not be the issue.
Have you enabled the setting of allowing zero sum orders? You can reach the setting via WooCommerce > Settings > Payments > Svea Checkout > Zero sum orders.
If it doesn’t work by simple turning on the feature in WooCommerce you’ll have to contact Svea to enable the feature on the merchant account as well.
Best regards
After trying this I am getting errror Invalid recurring delivery method.
Hi,
In what situation are you facing that error message? When visiting the site we can see that the checkout loads now which it didn’t do before.
Best regards
Yes the checkout is loading but when I am trying to make the payment its giving the error. After adding all the details.
Hi,
The error message comes from the shipping option isn’t being available for recurring payments.
However it seems like the courses doesn’t require shipping. If that’s the case I highly recommend setting the products as “Virtual” which disables the need for shipping altogether.
If that isn’t the case it would be good to know what shipping is “behind” the free shipping.
Best regards
I think we are getting there but now the problem is when I am trying to make a payment its giving this error.
Ett konto är redan registrerat med din e-postadress.
Why its not allowing to buy subscription product for already created user.
Hi,
Great to hear!
The error message comes from WooCommerce Subscriptions and it’s because a subscription needs to be able to handled from the “My account” pages by the customer. If you’re not logged in an account will be created, however if that account already exists this error message will appear and you need to login.
While testing this can be a problem but in real life scenarios this will most likely not be an issue.
Tip: If you’re using a @gmail-address (or use Google to handle email for your own domain) you can create an alias by using the plus symbol as such: thegeneration+test1@gmail.com.
Then you won’t need multiple email addresses to create multiple accounts.Best regards
I have lots of user who bought from the webshop before but dont have a account but when they trying to buy a subscription it gives this error. So how can it handle the old customers.
Also when I login into the account and then try to buy the course I am getting this error.Validation callback failed

Hi,
If they didn’t create accounts when purchasing it won’t be a problem. If they did they’ll need to login and exactly how that could be presented is up to each individual store.
Do you have logging enabled and does that show any error messages? (WooCommerce > Settings > Payment > Svea Checkout > Enable logging) (WooCommerce > Status > Loggs > svea_checkout_[date])
Best regardsHello Team,
Can we have some setting so the customer can buy any product or subscription without need to login on the checkout they can buy with the same email.
Can you help me with this ?
Hi,
Customers being required to login to buy subscriptions is not a limitation on our end, it’s in WooCommerce Subscriptions. So that the customer can manage their subscription properly.
