Free Shipping rate within 2 different Categories is not working

    Hi,
    I´m using your plugin since a while…works good so far.

    Now I have the problem…that I can create Free Shipping rates within 1 category…which does work..”.category – equal to – category X…for example category “pure2improve”!” = free shipping.

    Products are free shipping….adding other products to cart out of these free shipping category leads to additional shipping costs…so all good…that´s what I want.

    BUT…adding another product to cart from a second free shipping category Y…for example “rstone” leads to a cart which is not working anymore because there is no shipping method selected anymore.

    Please tell me there´s a work around for this problem. Otherwise I can´t work with my product categories…I would have to create the one and only “Free Shippping Category”!?

    Hi,

    You can use shipping classes instead, the ‘Contains class’ condition allow for other products to be in the cart as well.

    ok…but then I have to create a shipping class + create a new free shipping condition…right?

    But create a Free Shippping Category (including all free shipping products) would also work?

    Hi Jeroen,
    I tried your solution with shipping class. It works with 2 different free shipping products together in the cart….shipping is free…so far so good.

    But if I add another not free shipping product then shipping stays free. That´s not really what I want.

    Example:

    free shiping product 1 = extra carton
    free shipping product 2 = extra carton
    not free shipping product 3 = extra carton (which is not getting paid for at the moment).

    Hi René,

    You can add a condition;
    – Class – not equal – ‘paid-shipping’

    That prevents it from appearing when a paid product is in the cart.

    ok..but that means creating another shipping class “paid-shipping”….right?

    So my advanced free shipping rate would be:

    contains shipping class – equal to – free shipping
    +
    contains shipping class – not equal to – paid shipping

    Did I get it right?
