    I Enabled Free Shipping Discount and set value to $50, but when i check out, I still get prompt to “Calculate Shipping Price”, I clicked “Make Purchase”, error message showed as below,
    Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order.

    I think when we enabled “Free Shipping Discount”,

    firstly we should not get prompt to “Calculate Shipping Price”,
    secondly we should not get error message.

    Hi there,

    What version of WP eCommerce are you using? I personally did a test on my local site and it is working just fine.

    As for getting prompted with the shipping calculator, I am afraid that feature is still tied with the current version of WP eCommerce. We do have plans in the future to remove it.

    I just did the update and almost everything else is working ok after making changes.

    I my oldest version of WP ecommerce after I enabled free shipping discount for whatever amount, after the total price was over that it would erase the UPS shipping calculator and it would process the order.

    Now after it goes over the free shipping amount it does say shipping 0.00 but is NOT removing the UPS nor any calculator like it suppose to. And is also requiring to select a shipping method even when total amount of shipping is 0.00. If you select a shipping method even when is over the free shipping amount it gives the error:
    Please select one of the available shipping options, then we can process your order.
    So is working partially I guess.

    I also tried the table rate calculator so it calculates 0.00 shipping for orders above 79.99 but it gives the option and submits the order even when the amount is below that. So that does’n work either.

    Like what I was saying, the shipping calculator is currently tied to the WP eCommerce.

    Wp eCommerce is an open source software, which means that there are tons of developers contributing on it. This means that sometimes some feature gets updated differently.

    Different themes would contribute as well with the compatibility of the Wp eCommerce plugin. Certain themes are fully compatible with older version of Wp eCommerce while others are not.

    On another note, do you have a backup of the old version of WP eCommerce plugin? Can you revert to that backup?

    I will try to reproduce the issue that you are having, if I could, I will ping our developers with it.

    I’m having the same or a very similar issue. I’ve had messages from 2 potential customers and I don’t know how many have just given up.

    I was using flat-rate with free-shipping-discount. AFAIK it failed on update of WP 4.0 and the 4-9-14 WP-Ecommerce patch. This does drive home the need to do one update at a time and test for a while.

    I thought it was working (although more confusing on checkout) with table rate shipping rather than free shipping over $75. But today received another complaint and found it wouldn’t calculate shipping to the US.

    The checkout process is a bit untidy and confusing to many. I realise it’s probably partly related to the number of options, but it’s not good for busniness.

    I suggest hurrying along the developers even if you cannot reproduce the fault yourself. A e-commerce systen with a broken checkout is less use than a bucket with no bottom.

    Good idea; I can try copying back a recent backup of the WP-eCommerce plugin.

    I’m using Suffusion theme, assorted plugins and WP4.0. Everything up to date.
