    Hello,

we use your plugin and we ran into a bug with Free shipping.

We have defined free shipping for all orders over £39.99 for one shipping method called ‘Royal Mail Second Class’.

But sometimes (not always) when we go to the basket we see that Free shipping is not assigned for the same method even though the amount is greater than 39.99 pounds.

Free shipping is validly updated if the user continues to checkout.

How can the bug in /cart/ be fixed?

Here’s the image of the bug.

Kind regards and thanks in advance,

    Filip

    Thanks for the fast reply.

I’ve removed the field ‘to’ in second rule, but the issue still persists.

Here are the instructions so you can see the bug on site if that’s of any help.

It works for me. Can you record video with this issue?

    (@fcacic)

Sure, here it is – https://youtu.be/ajfzhuo_HDg

If after this you add another product and go to the cart or go to the checkout, it will be updated to free shipping, but it doesn’t work properly at first.

You have only one shipping zone? This zone is matched by default for non logged in user?

    Thread Starter fcacic

    (@fcacic)

We have 3 different shipping zones:

    1. United Kingdom,
    2. Europe and
    3. Rest of the world

United Kingdom is the first zone inside of WooCommerce, and that’s why it’s selected by default.

I don’t think it’s a flexible shipping issue. I think this is a theme or other plugin issue.

After adding the product to the basket, shipping costs are not recalculated.

Shipping costs are recalculated after changing the number of products in the cart (Update basket button).

WooCommerce handles the calculation of shipping costs, so something is blocking it. It’s definitely not flexible shipping.

I suggest testing a flat rate where shipping cost is based on the number of products. If the cost does not change after adding the product to the basket, this will confirm that the problem lies outside of flexible shipping.

Can you point me to how to test shipping costs based on the number of products?

I’ve tried deactivating plugins, but the issue still remains.

    Hi @fcacic,

add Flat Rate shipping method with cost: [qty]*5.
Then check if the shipping cost updates after you add items to basket.

    Thread Starter fcacic

    (@fcacic)

Flat rate shipping updates, but the cost of the Flexible shipping (first) method does not update.

It should be free since it’s over 40 pounds.

    Here’s the screenshot.

Also, if I increase/decrease the number of products afterward, it is refreshed and calculated correctly.

    Hi,

I cannot reproduce this issue on my WooCommerce installation.
Do you have staging with the same setup?
Can you check on staging whether changing theme to storefront fixes this problem?

    Thread Starter fcacic

    (@fcacic)

I’ve checked on staging, you’re right – there’s no issue with Storefront.

I’ll contact the theme support. At first I thought it was the shipping plugin.

Thanks for everything, you were of great help!

    Cheers,

    Filip
