Support » Plugin: Ultimate FAQ - WordPress FAQ and Accordion Plugin » Free plugin money grab

  • The free version is just okay. Simply trying to display a list of your FAQs in the admin takes you through a maze of “buy this” crap. I’d rate it higher if they just had the integrity to allow the use of a free version without constanly being in your face with “reviews” and “upgrade” which all just adds to plugin bloat.

    Hi John,

Thank you for the review. Were there any instances in particular that you’re talking about? We try our best to put upgrade and review requests in the appropriate places, as the sales of the premium version allow us to provide support for the free version. With that mind, I would appreciate your input about specific instances, as we’re always open to and looking for suggestions on how to improve the user experience.

    Thanks!

Sure. I simply click “FAQs” on the main WordPress dashboard nav menu, and instead of being taken to a list of FAQS, I’m on a sales-like “Dashboard” that blasts me with “Upgrade” and “What People Are Saying” and a bunch of other useless bloat. I just want to manage and add FAQs. Honestly, when I first activated the pugin and wanted to add FAQs, I didn’t easily know how to do that. I’ve been working WordPress since 2003. I’ve used this plugin before but never commented until now. Seriously, if I decide I want to do more with your plugin, I will explore on MY terms, not yours. A good plugin is one that does what it says first and foremost, and doesn’t pestor you to BUY BUY BUY before you have a chance to kick the tires. Hope that helps.
