    Hello Team,

    We had created Free Gift (Fixed Cart Discount) coupons about 6 months ago which would auto-apply upon meeting cart conditions, recently we noticed that the coupons are not applied automatically even after the cart conditions for the coupons are satisfied.

    We are not sure when this issue has started, but it looks like your recent changes to the plugin might have impacted this feature.

    Please check and provide a fix. Thanks in advance.

    Could you please check how many coupons do you have in your site with auto-apply option enabled?

    We were able to find the cause of the issue. In Checkout Options of the auto-apply coupons, we had entered all our Payment Methods instead of leaving it empty (Any Payment Method), this was causing the auto-apply coupon to not being applied until the checkout page. But if you look at it technically, if we had entered all the payment methods it should still behave the same as any payment method.

    Please check and see if it can be fixed.

    Hi @webtoffee Team,

    While testing the above-mentioned issue we noticed that the Free Gift (auto-apply) coupon is not removed when the Free Gift is deleted from the cart.

    Even after refreshing the cart, the coupon remains and there is no remove link when an auto-apply coupon is applied to the cart.

    Please check and see if it can be fixed.

    The auto-apply enabled coupons will be removed only if the eligible item is removed from the cart. Removing the gift coupon won’t have any effect on the same.

    As for the other issue, we have analyzed it and since having a payment method selected there, the coupon will check for its eligibility before applying which in this case is only done from the checkout page. Keeping the payment gateway empty means there is no such check required. Technically, both are different workflows hence the different behavior.

    Hi @webtoffee Team,

    Would you consider adding a remove link when an auto-apply coupon is applied to the cart? Currently, there is no way to remove the auto-apply coupons, if the customer would like to apply a different coupon or if they do not want to use this auto-apply coupon.

    Please check and see if this can be done.

    Hi @scody,

    Removing an auto-apply coupon is not currently possible because the auto-apply functionality will again re-add it. That is why we have removed the link for removal for auto-apply coupons.
