Support » Fixing WordPress » Frames with WordPress?

  • I wanted to know if anyone has experience with frames and wordpress (not an iframe). Specifically I’m attempting to find a solution for an audio player that won’t stop when switching pages.

Fancybox or inline embed codes will stop playing when switching pages. A popup (not lightbox, but actual popup) would play while switching pages, however most browsers do a good job of blocking popups.

If I did have a frame on the top 10% of my client’s site (it would just be a hosted 3rd party audio player), and then the bottom 90% would be the normal wordpress site would there be any issues?

I feel wordpress would essentially ignore the frame complete and run normally, but I wanted see if anyone has run into issues attempting this.

I never did find a solution xpedito. I still feel WordPress would probably ignore the iframe, but I didn’t get the chance to test out my theory.

Hey, brother… I found a workout for this. It’s a plugin called Ajax for All.

I instaled and it worked just fine. There is an option to use it only when you are logged in. Uncheck it.

Would you like to see my site with the radio? check it out:

Instead of reloading the pages, it reloads the ‘content’ only.

    It made my day today!

Thanks smortv. Your post brought keywords to find the solution for this problem!
