Fragment caching not working

  • I assume I’m just doing this wrong, but no matter what syntax I try to use, either I get a 500 server error, or nothing displays at all, or the dynamic content gets cached when the page is cached (though I can get different things to display depending on whether the page is cached.

here’s the syntax I’m using now:

<!– mfunc echo “This is my website not cached” . time(); –><?php echo “This is my website cached” . time(); ?><!– /mfunc –>

When the page is not cached (logged in as admin) the time value does increment, but when not logged in, with page being cached, the time valud does not increment between refreshes.

has anyone had any luck with fragment caching?
