Support » Plugin: WPBook » [FR] Add a way to post any article using the WPBook sidebar in article view

  • When something goes wrong, we need to be able to still post the article to Facebook and there appears to be no easy way with WPBook.

So, I hope you’ll consider adding a button beneath “Publish this post to Facebook Wall?”, so that we can post any article, at any time.

Unless I’m misunderstanding you, this can be accomplished by publishing then republishing the post. If you are looking for something your users can do they should be able to like the post and accomplish a post to their wall.

    You mean, unpublish, then re-publish?
I can’t do that because it would trigger all the other plugins that do something when a post is published.

I’m looking for something similar to what the yourls plugin is doing.
It can re-create a shorturl if it’s missing and tweet straight from the article editing page.

I thought I could play with the custom field, but deleting it and updating the article doesn’t seem to send the article to Facebook (unless something else is broken in my setup…)

This should not be terribly difficult – it’s just a matter of pushing the current post into the publish_to_facebook.php function.

I’ll explore it for the next release.

    Great news 🙂
