I tried three other forums, including Vanilla Forums, which requires installation through your webhost as well as through WordPress. This one blows the others out of the water in terms of ease and clarity of use. It actually — incredibly — takes into account the fact that not every WordPress user is a professional developer! Amazing, I know. It’s dashboard documentation is thoughtful, complete, and totally clear and helpful. The appearance takes on some of your site’s style, so it integrates beautifully. The setup and tools make all issues of permission and so forth super clear and easy. It has a great maintenance mode you can toggle on.
Ditch any other forum you’ve tried and install this one. You won’t be sorry.
