Forum title too long – bug?

I just posted a new topic with a title of 80 characters, which is set to be the max length:

“Topic Title (Maximum Length: 80):”

Title:
[Request] Network > Plugins: plugins (only) activated in subsites marked as such

I also tried it with 79 characters, but that didn’t work either.

Don’t use long titles for forum topic titles.

You can shorten it by leaving out “[Request]” or just making it concise and short. The title isn’t a whole description and should be short.

I just wanted to let you know that the forum’s “titel” input field shows a warning “Maximum Length: 80” if it is exceeded, but in my case above it were less than 80 characters.
I would assume it is either a bug, or the underlying code changed to only support e.g. max 70 characters, but the warning message does not reflect that.
I would have filed a bug against the forum software, but don’t know where, hence I left this comment under “Requests and Feedback”.

That title is 81 characters long. Not a bug.

This tool says “[Request] Network > Plugins: plugins (only) activated in subsites marked as such” is 80 long https://charactercounter.com/ (not sure where I got 79 from, tbh). Either way, I mark this resolved now, as it seems to not be a biggy anyway.
