Forum email notification of follow-up posts not working

I don’t know where else to ask for help because this is about the wordpress.org support forum itself.

In my forum profile I’ve enabled the

“Always notify me via email of follow-up posts in any topics I reply to”

option and I’ve received the confirmation email from wordpress@wordpress.org to my email account. However, I do not receive any notification emails when someone comments on my forum posts. And there is nothing in the spam folder either.

[Moderator note: please do not ping moderators or other forum volunteers in your posts. That’s not nice and is basically spamming them.]

Let’s see if you get this reply. If not, check your spam folder and ask your mail host if they’re bouncing emails from wp.org.

Yes Steven, I did receive an email on your reply. However, I don’t get them for the topic I added the link above.

@sterndata do you know who else I can contact for the other forum? Or is there a way to find out who the moderators for a specific forum are?

It’s a system wide thing. That you got an email from the above means the system is sending mail to you, regardless of the part of the forum, and regardless of who you might speak to. It’s all one big bbpress site. so, if some mails get through and some don’t, you need to talk to your mail host.

@sterndata are those mails sent from different email addresses? I’ve checked my spam folder multiple times and there’s nothing from wordpress.org! The email I received on this thread came from:

I will go ahead and whitelist wordpress.org but I also saw somewhere wp.org as a sender.

It’s wordpress.org, and there are proper SPF and DKIM records.

I just had another conversation in the plugin support forum and the emails are flowing flawlessly! I guess it’s safe to say that something is wrong with that specific thread in the forum and not my email account.
