    Hello,

    Recently we noticed that our Fortinet firewall started to block our own website (and some other WordPress sites), claiming it was infected with a Trojan called HTML/SrcInject.B!tr

    The full error message that is shown instead of our website:

    ——
    High Security Alert!!
    You are not permitted to download the file “” because it is infected with the virus “HTML/ScrInject.B!tr”.

    URL = http://www.gugler-brand-digital.at/
    File quarantined as: .

    ——

    We update WordPress and all plugins on a regular basis.

    Do you have any further info or advice on this?

    Thank you in advance!

  • Sounds like a false positive on Fortinet’s part – running your site through GravityScan, Sucuri site check, and WP Sec Scan, all came back negative for vulnerabilities or malware.

    Hi tiphiii,
    As your website appeared clean on many scanners and it’s not listed on any blacklist, then I suggest getting in contact with Fortinet regarding this issue.

    Also, in the message you shared above the infected file doesn’t seem to be clear for me.

    Thanks.

    Hello,

    Thank you for your replies! Fortinet has apparently updated their firmware, as the problem doesn’t persist anymore!

    All the best!
