    Hello

I get this error and the process was not completed 100%

“Due to continuous breaking changes in Contact Form 7 we are dropping the CF7 integration as of CF7 5.4. We have concluded that the only viable solution is for Contact Form 7 to integrate with the WP Consent API.”

I have read the article you refer to but excuse me, I don’t understand it and I don’t know exactly what I should do … ??
I remove the captcha from the Forn 7 form and leave only the Google recapcha ..? Or do I remove the Recaptcha from Google and leave only the form 7 form captcha?

Or if it is not one of the two options, I must do so as not to return to the lower version of forn 5.4 since in this way the “Forn7” plugin would always be outdated.

    Thanks a lot

    Hi @oninmedia,

Due to the newest update from CF7, we cannot integrate with CF7 to control consent for reCaptcha. The latest update from Complianz will detect the issue and drop the integration because the form will otherwise break. This means reCaptcha is not blocked prior to consent with both plugins up-to-date.

You can indeed revert back to CF7 5.3.2, but you are unable to update if you want to use the reCaptcha integration from CF7.

    You have some alternatives;

    Remove the reCaptcha integration from CF7 and;
    – Install Friendly Captcha (No consent needed)
    – Install a Honeypot for ContactForm 7 (No consent needed)
    – Install Akismet, as a spam prevention tool
    – Install a reCaptcha plugin with an integration for both CF7 and Complianz. Replacing the native reCaptcha solution from CF7

Let me know if you have any questions.

    regards Aert

    Hi Aert,
    What about Invisible reCaptcha ?

    Hi @bonaldi,

It’s a two-way street, invisible reCaptcha still needs to work with CF7 5.4, and Complianz with Invisible reCaptcha and CF7. So I need to check first, before I make any claims.

I’ll have a look later this evening.

    regards Aewrt

    HI @bonaldi, @oninmedia,

I just tested the top three plugins, that add reCaptcha for CF7.

Invisible reCaptcha and Advanced noCaptcha are not updated yet and seem to have issues with CF7 5.4 as well.

This one (https://wordpress.org/plugins/wpcf7-recaptcha/) seems to be updated, but it relies on the CF7 reCaptcha solution. Which we can’t control anymore.

The best way seems to steer away from CF7 5.4 + reCaptcha + Consent, any of these variables being present is troublesome.

    Hi Aert Thank you

As I have just read now, I must understand that any option that you have mentioned is problematic, right? Except for reinstalling the previous version of F7 lower than 5.4, okay ..?

And if we leave it with the version prior to 5.4, it means that the cookie law will not be complied with .. ???

I have carried out the test with the latest version of F7 5.4 and if you do not accept the cookies the form is blocked and will not let you send .. This would be the correct thing, right? But if you accept all cookies or you accept consent only for functional cookies, the form lets you send it anyway. Is that correct?

So I do not understand why it does not comply with the cookie law.? Since until you give your consent the form is blocked. Can you explain it to me please. ?

And if I remove the Google recaptcha integration and leave only the form without recaptcha, will it be complianz compliant ..? That is, I only leave the native captcha of the F / 7 form, this will solve the compatibility problem .. ??

Because if I don’t get it wrong, the problem is the Google recaptcha, right? Well, what has been said, eliminating it, the problem ends, right? And if the problem is not solved, you indicated the following in your previous conversation …

“- Install friendly Captcha (No consent required)
    – Install a Honeypot for ContactForm 7 (No consent required)
    – Install Akismet, as a spam prevention tool
    – Install a reCaptcha plugin with an integration for CF7 and Complianz. Replacement of CF7’s native reCaptcha solution “

It is correct I can choose any of these options that you have given me and I will avoid the problem ..

But I repeat if I remove the recaptcha from Google and leave only the native Forn 7 it will be compatible right ..? The truth is that I do not care about the spam that I may receive if Recaptcha is not installed.

And to finish my last question .. I have a dozen websites made with the F7 and if at the end after reading your answer and depending on what answer you tell me .. ??

If I decide to install another form and remove the F7 entirely because there is nothing that can fix the aforementioned conflict …

Can I install the form of the DIVI theme with the captcha, it will not cause problems and it will be compatible with the complianz plugin ..?

Thank you very much Aert for everything and forgive my translation into English but my knowledge is rare, I hope it is understood.

    Greetings

    Hi @oninmedia,

If you use Complianz + ReCaptcha and have a CF7 version prior to 5.4 you will still comply with legislation. It is CF7 version 5.4 that we currently cannot integrate with.

If you would rather use CF7 5.4 and remove Google ReCaptcha (which is why consent is required) from the form, that would also be compliant, but without using one of the suggestions by @aahulsebos, you will likely notice increasing amounts of spam. Honeypot plugins, Akismet and Friendly Captcha are good solutions for this.

    Kind regards,
    Jarno

    Hello Jarnovos

OK it has been clear to me !!!

Then I eliminated the integration of Google Recaptcha in the F7 form and also eliminated the account of the domain associated with the Google Recaptcha account but nevertheless the indication in Tasks still appears, so the result of the progress continues to appear 97% and not It is 100% complete, why? How can you complete the whole process to know that the plugin is working correctly ..?

It has also happened to me that when I start the cookie scanning process again, Facebook cookies do not detect them and I had them detected before the check. I am trying to scan them over and over again but they do not appear, the curious thing that they do appear in the services section. What can I do to make Facebook cookies appear in the legal text ..?

    Thanks for everything

    Thanks

    Hello
I close this thread because I have already been able to solve one of the tasks. I will add a new query. Thanks
