Can you please turn of the confirmation for user or admin email notification from your metform settings to see if the problem still persists?
This problem generally happens for this settings if your email server doesn’t configured in your wordpress dashboard.
You can try this plugin and configure your email server to receive admin email notifications or send user email confirmation.
Hopefully your problem will be solved after following the above steps properly. Let us know the update.
