    I was trying to fix all the errors that Yosemite found on my site and while updating my CSS I also screwed up my WP-Polls format. I know it is related to the new CSS I’m using for forms, but I have no idea why the poll options are displaying horizonatally in FF (or all over the place in IE.) Could someone please give me a hint?

    I know it’s pathetic that I don’t know CSS yet, but as you can see I’m working on it. (Got rid of 111 errors so far!)

    Thank you for your time

  • You really should mark the original thread resolved if you want to restart it here (have to go to lunch, will take a peek after).

    Thanks Yosemite, I marked the other one resolved. I didn’t know I had to do that.

    Wow. That’s a disaster area.

    From what I can see, changes you made to style.css are cascading into the polls.css.css (polls formatting). For example, find this in your style.css:

    form label {

    Then temporarily put a # in front of float:left; and you’ll see the change.

    It looks like someone is mysteriously adding a lot of variations to the selectors (form in this example) and they are just flowing all over each other. It really needs to be re-done. Really. No kidding. Or I’ll tell the wasps.

    Wow, I think just putting the # in there and removing the padding style fixed it. Does that mean it’s not messy anymore?

    Thanks for your help Yosemite, you’re the best! I got rid of 111 errors today too. 🙂

    It means it’s probably ok until you make another change to it ;’)

    About fixing the errors: Very cool. I mean that. It’s a good looking site, no reason to not devote the time to making it good under-the-hood too.
