Support » Fixing WordPress » Formerly working “blog” (posts) page throws out blank Index page

My web design site has a separate blog/posts page which has been working fine and dandy until today. I have no idea what’s up. When this kind of thing happens and I haven’t touched it, I tend to blame the web host.

    Here’s the site:

    http://www.pixelita.com

If you click on Read our design blog on the side or click on the link in the bottom, http://www.pixelita.com/blog/

that USED to work. Now I get a blank Apache index page. There is NO subdomain there. The .htaccess file has NOT changed.

If I switch the blog settings to have the posts on the front page, it works fine. Any ideas?

I should add that individual posts do seem to work. But you have to already know the link. For example, if you click “Latest Post” (about WP 3.0 Beta), it takes you to the single post page.

Also interesting, is every other string takes you to the native WP 404 page:

These pages don’t actually exist, and WP handles them:
    http://pixelita.com/forum/
    http://pixelita.com/12345

But typing in http://pixelita.com/blog gives this other weird blank page.

Typing in http://pixelita.com/posts does the same thing. Weird, huh?

Okay, this is freakish. It’s working again. Web host I suspect. Hmm. Marking resolved. Maybe there are clues in my error logs?

It sounds like PHP probably went offline for a few minutes. The error logs will probably mention something about the service being unavailable.
