Support » Theme: Twenty Twenty-One » Formatting went bonkers after forced SSL certificate

  • Hello,
    I got the the formatting done on 2021 with help of the Options plugin, and then forced SSL certificate.
    The formatting went off the rail and can’t seem to be able to fix that. Anyone can take a look at it and have any suggestions how to fix it?

    Edit: Most of the content seems to be automatically aligned right instead of left. I managed to adjust the header but in mobile version hamburger menu overlaps with the site headline. The drop cap on https://dominikadurtan.com/tales-of-the-desert/ moved all the way to the right too.

    I already removed and reinstalled both: the theme and the plug in. Not sure what else i can safely do without digging myself deeper in this mess.

    Any suggestions will be much appreciated.

    Cheers,
    dd

  • Hello,

    Your theme’s style.css file is still showing …

    body {
    	text-align: right;
    }

    … which should say “left” so if you have already re-installed the theme from scratch then you should clear any cache that your website uses (plugin or otherwise).

    Hi Oliver,

    Thank you for looking into it again.

    Unless I’m checking in the wrong place this is what the theme’s style.css says now:

    body {
    font-size: var(–global–font-size-base);
    font-weight: normal;
    color: var(–global–color-primary);
    text-align: left;
    background-color: var(–global–color-background);

    I cleared browser’s cache and no change. I’m an amateur, perhaps I’m doing it completely wrong…

    Any other suggestions?

    Hi,

    If the file on your server is showing text-align: left then there must be some kind of server side cache. Speak to your web host to see how to clear it.

    Oliver,

    I followed the steps you recommended and the formatting is now back to normal.

    Thank you very much!!!
