Formatting Image Captions

    Why does WP strip out all the html in image captions? I want to have a title and description in my caption, but I can find no html tags that are not immediately stripped by WP. Any ideas?

    @esmi I don’t understand. how does that preclude further formatting?

    WP was doing the same to me. I wanted a certain part of the caption to be in italics. I also wanted my image to be centered. What I did was change the format to alignnone and then centered the image in the WYSIWYG editor. It kept my tags in place when I did this.
