Formatting Custom Field Date

    Hi. I love your plugin. I use it with custom fields displayed. But when the custom field is a date, it not formatted correctly. The custom field was created and formated D j. F Y with ACF, then used in your widget in the sidebar and footer. But the custom field is not formated as mentioned, it is alyways YYYYMMDD.

    The problem persists with every theme I used. Any help is welcome!
