I initially installed the chat plugin and it looked great, just as in your screenshots. Then I added all of the shortcodes so that I could play with them. When I did that the page changed so that there is a lot of space between each component. Please see http://christiangayschat.com/main-chat-room/

I removed all the shortcodes but it still was wrong, so I deactivated, then reactivated – no change, so I uninstalled and reinstalled – no change. I finally deleted the whole website and reinstalled WordPress including new database. The chat pages still look wrong.

How do I fix this please.
    Thank you!

    Hello,

    the chat is put inside
< pre > and < code > tags. These tags are responsible for bad look. The theme is generating them (probably). Put wise-chat shortcode somewhere else.

I’m marking this as resolved because it is not a wise-chat issue.

My apologies for not marking this as resolved. I replied to the email but should have posted here. The problem was created by me.

I copied and pasted the shortcode from my browser. When I typed in the shortcode instead of copying and pasting it was fixed.

    Sorry to trouble you.
