Could you have changed the location/folder that contains the images?
No, I changed nothing. I have checked and the folders containing the images are right where they always were.
Viewing source, the page appears to be looking for a stylesheet at:
http://newagejournal.com/2007/wp-content/themes/adflexblog2/skins/default/skin.css
Browsing to that link, I get a 404. No stylesheet.
The css is looking for http://newagejournal.com/2007/wp-content/themes/adflexblog2/images/banner-demo/New-Age-Journal.jpg
trying to directly access that image gives a 404 not found page.
When I FTP in, I see that the http://www.newagejournal.com/2007/wp-content/themes/adflexblof2/skins/default/skin.css and the …themes/adflexblog2/images/banner-demo/New-Age-Journal.jpg files are both indeed there.
As you visit Options -> General, do you have the WWW on the specified URLS or not?
The same thing happens to me when I try to access the banner graphic file through a web browser. I get a 404 error message. Yet, when I FTP to that identical directory location, I see that the graphic file is there. How can this be possible?
I did not have the www on the specified URLs on the Options>General page, but when I added them just now there was no change.
Check your permissions on the folder where the images are. If it isn’t atleast 644 then the webserver can’t see them.
Permissions are indeed 644.
I submitted a trouble ticket to my host, and they seem to have done something. Now it looks as is should when viewed with Microsoft Internet Explorer, but the formatting still looks strange when viewed with Firefox, although some of the graphics have now returned. Curiouser and curiouser.
I re-uploaded my theme, and the problem is now solved.
