Formatting a single widget.

  • I know there are a lot of posts out there about this subject, but none of them have helped me solve my problem.

I am trying to change the background color of my subscription widget on my website http://www.gameradvice.com.

The problem is that I haven’t noticed any classes or id’s that separate the identities of each widget, all of them are classified under the class “widget”.

Can anyone give me a solution for my problem? I have been trying everything to no avail. Thanks wordpress community!

  • I would hard code the widget into the sidebar.php file and declare a new class for it like .subscription or something. That’s the easy solution.

Or you could create a rule for #mc_signup which would change most of the background but not the full widget because your code is weird.

    Thanks elkirkmo.

The only problem with hard coding is that the signup widget is created using a plugin, so I didn’t actually create the code myself. Would it still be possible to change the class without changing the plugin?
